At 4-5 with a stretch of winnable games ahead of us, we could feasibly have 7-8 wins by the time we hit Buffalo. Playoffs are a hot topic again now that QB1 is in the building, but I wonder if securing the front end of back-to-back winning seasons might be the best of a bad situation? Say we win 9 games and miss the playoffs. That would still be some decent mojo going into 22 with Cam and Co. A chance for Cam to be the first Carolina QB with B2B winning seasons and a playoff berth? The story is writing itself.

Without the silly talk and bubbly gushing like a school girl (which I am definitely guilty), OP is right. I don’t know how else to say it other than, I have an honest emotionally familial tie with Cam. Smitty too, but Cam was different. He affected not just my fanaticism of this team, but I care about the dude. Him coming home is great! It just comes with a burden of guilt, like I want to tell him I’m sorry. My QB is home and I feel like my dog died. However, I get the sense that my shame will turn to anger at the organization again for how they dumped him in the first place.
