Carolina Panthers agree to terms with Cam Newton.

BEST DAY EVER -
Depends on how quick he comes in. If he was here week 1, yes, absolutely. But the season is half over and the hardest stretch of the schedule is coming up. I still say yes, but I'm biased because Cam is my second favorite athlete of all time.
-
Not going to lie, I'd be so happy that I'd cry if this happens. I live 2,300 miles from Charlotte. I've been a fan since 1995 and only ever been to road games. I'd fly to Charlotte to see Cam come back.

Based on this, I am going to start mentally preparing for the Panthers to go after Siemian hard when he is a free agent.

Sam Darnold : Will he make it to a 2nd season here?
jopie87 replied to glenwo2's topic in Carolina Panthers
He shouldn't play another game. There is a 100 percent chance that there's a Qb or 7 that can be signed off the streets and play better -
And they should pay it. Cam had a down year last year and was still leaps and bounds better than the trash Darnold is throwing around the field this year.
-
Last year Teddy killed me because he couldn't lead an end of game drive. I didn't think it could get worse. I was wrong. Replace Sam WITH ANY OTHER starting QB in the league and this is a playoff team. Literally any other starter from any other team would be an improvement.
-
Don't bench Sam, cut him. He has a nice future coaching highschool ball in Orange County, just let him get an early start with that.
-
He shouldn't be playing today.
-
Kellen Moore is a crazy good offensive coordinator. They have a chance.
-
I hope he gets the time and help that he needs. Mental health is a hell of a battle.

If they have to pass, let PJ boot and tell him if there isn't anyone beyond wide open, take a dive. -

PJ can be a good backup, he's just incredibly green. He was the best player in XFL V2 -

We should continue to let them hit the guy across from them. They seem to enjoy that. -

How the hell did the refs botch that delay of game so badly? Atlanta gets, temporarily, rewarded for running an incomplete pass back 80 yards. Dumb. -
It's exactly what was talked about yesterday from the Orlovsky tweet posted above. A quarterbacks feet have to be synced to the routes. If you drop back too fast and the routes haven't developed, you start hitching. You're out of rthym. He's going faster because he knows he's going to get drilled, but the routes being called don't lend themselves to a quicker drop back.

What's insane is that after this game you will still have a ton of people calling Brady an offensive genius. I can't wait until he is someone else's problem. -
How extensively will the offense need to be rebuilt this off-season?

Every single draft pick should be an o-linemen and every single spot on the o-line should be an open competition in camp.
