  1. it's easy to read too much into it. i think at this point everyone is likely tired because this is the culmination of months of hard work and they finally get to the end and the hype is worn off. you feel good about what you've done and it's a big deal, but it's more just being able to breathe again because you realize that you haven't done it for a while. for horn, it's been all about the waiting and he finally doesn't have to wonder where he will be. i don't think it's anything beyond that. i'm sure canales is happy to have horn,jr. here. i'm sure that horn is happy to be here.
  2. i think that's one of the things they talk about in the McAfee video. since teams are releasing stuff like this, it's cutting down on the appeal of hard knocks.
  3. not a fan of the 49ers. don't care what he or any of them do as long as they lose to us in november.
  4. one thing that was interesting was how they were using Tepper. They had Eric Eager doing analytics on mocks he was running to see who might be available later and then he was relaying to them the odds of so and so being there later and then they would look at Tepper and ask wat he thinks of those odds and even then it was kind of "we're already making up our mind about this, but are you in the boat with us?" so any involvement tepper had in the discussion was limited and kind of just a courtesy. that's just my perception anyways. i could be completely wrong. wouldn't be the first time.
  5. she was but she wasn't center stage with the leadership team like she had been and she wasn't on camera. that's a step in the right direction.
  6. doesn't sound like he's making the decisions, though. sounds like he's letting them make the decisions and they are just asking if he's on board with it all. i think he trusts them to get the job done. probably isn't easy for him to let go, but he might just be learning.
  7. last year i think he sat out of camps waiting for a new deal that he never got so that probably put a bit of a stink in the relationship between him and the panthers.
  8. very nice read, btw. nice to see all that shaking out. i think the TE room will be ok.
  9. not sure if anyone saw this, but teams are asking about Kyle Pitts. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/kyle-pitts-landing-spots-cowboys-giants-among-potential-2025-fits-with-falcons-reportedly-open-to-trading-te/ also, the falcons winning season drought has been as long as ours.
  10. one of the songs when it comes on one of my pandora feeds i keep hitting repeat on.
  11. i love these guys. so fun to watch. that guy on the hand percussion is insane. just a weird and interesting texture of sounds and influences they've got going on. someone said it is what a James Bond film would be like if Quentin Tarrintino was controlling the music.
  12. oh i'm sure the jags will be favored, but it's mainly just based on optics. nothing substantive at this point. i mean how could it be anything but that? it is funny to hear jags fans talk about this game being a gimme for them. do they need to be reminded that the second half of the season last year the only games they won were against the titans. while they picked up hunter in the draft...i mean is that one guy going to be THE difference between winning and losing this year? who else did they pick up? dynami brown? ok...nice pick up, but again...is it enough to drastically turn things around? also, trevor lawrence. when was the last impressive game he had? and with a new coach? i just don't see any reason for much optimism.
  13. i don't think i've ever seen more than a couple episodes ever.
  14. the 2 conferences in the Psycho Ward were basically independent leagues with their own draft. you would play two games a week. one game would be against your own conference and the other game would against the other conference. so if you had Payton Manning on your team, you could also be playing against him in the game against the other conference.
  15. i was addicted i guess. i was commish of 2 of them. one of them had two conferences and didn't just have defensive players, but special teams, coaches, OL...just about everything. 24 total teams. draft clock was 6 hours because it was people all over the world. took forever. league was called the Psycho Ward. i was in 2 defensive only player leagues. had to keep it creative.
  16. few years back i was big into fantasy football and was in 12 leagues. i kept up with everything and was following people on twitter from every team just to make sure i was on top of everything. one of the people i followed was irsay, not for the news, but because after 1pm he got really entertaining. figured that was when he started tying one on. it was pretty well know that he was an addict. likely that his death was tied to that. he's overdosed at least once to the point that his heart stopped. too bad he couldn't stop it.
