That something else makes sense now. Rhule is a handicap.

Yeah not exactly a step forward there. Or sideways.

Trade Down or Trade Away Player(s)
rayzor replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
Probably. We'll have coach/rich people worshippers defending the status quo calling it consistency and then those who want the team to be better and make better choices and have better coaches/players unhappy with yet another losing season and tired of the ineffectiveness of this poorly run franchise. People talk about Rhule getting fired next year....but I'm not buying it. Tepper is too stubborn and Rhule is too good a conman. -
Draft day scenario - Could trading Burns be an option?
rayzor replied to SmokinwithWilly's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wealthy.... Yeah, but what does that have to do with it? Smarter? Definitely debatable. I mean they should be as far as football is concerned, but overall? Who knows? But, like I've said before....I don't have to be a truck driver to know when a truck driver is bad at his job. I don't have to be a plumber or a surgeon or a lawyer to know when they are bad at their jobs. And I don't have to be a coach to know when they are bad at their jobs. -
Coaching consistency is overrated if you don't have a coach that can get you a ring. Rhule can't do it. He's not the right guy for the job. Proof is in the results. Results are all that matter. How much friggin time does it take? Because if you're thinking it takes more than 2 years to build a winner, you're doing it wrong.

Name something specific that would get you pumped for this season
rayzor replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Unless they hired Flores, firing Rhule this off-season wouldn't excite me much because who would we hire? I mean are there any good choices? We missed the opportunity for most. There are no good vet FA WBs this year and the idea of trading for one AGAIN makes me want to puke. No great QB options in the draft. I don't know....there just isn't much of anything we could do because Rhule is still here and has control. Him losing control of personnel decisions and being told to keep his ignorant hands off the offense and defense would help, but at point why not just fire the guy? I just have no enthusiasm about this team as long as Rhule is at the helm. He's the captain of this ship and we're heading for Niagra Falls. -

By the time we're actually competitive he's going to be contemplating retirement. Just an observation and I agree with what you're saying, but I might disagree when it comes to RBs. -

Keep it simple for the stupids. -

That's kind of complicated. Remember who it is making these decisions here. -
How far would the Stafford led Panthers have gone?
rayzor replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
No, we have, or at least used to have when we had somewhat competent coaching, have an occasional playoff run. I think that era is over. Rivera brought it (eventually) and Rhule is doing his damn best to keep that era around. -

Stafford is a good, tough QB. He's always been that. Detroit is just a bad town for a football team, just like Cleveland. Those two cities will never produce winners. There's just something in the water. -

Yep, going to be even harder to get quality FAs this year. Bottom feeders we are.....yet again. Yay. -

No, but seriously... -
College QB with small hands in a bigger NFL ball is a bigger deal than an LT with slightly shorter arms. How much is it going to take a defender to knock that ball out? How much struggle is he going to have in the rain? The concerns go on. And I just don't see trust him to succeed. Imo, coin toss to whether he becomes a good QB or the next Sammy. I just don't want any part of that gamble.

Still a great game. Going to make it harder to get decent OL.

We're going to go into Overtime!!!!!!
-
Old school way was to wait till late in the season to start winning. The Rhule way is an early short run followed by falling flat on our face the rest of the season.

Rams need am RB and if we're going to keep CMC around we need to make him a WR.
-
Pretty much. That pretty much shut down their whole offense. Stafford getting hurt didn't help either. Still not handing Bengals the trophy yet, though. This game... poo this whole playoff season has never been over until the very last whistle. Would be surprised to see it go into overtime somehow though it be hard to do that with just 5 minutes left.
