Stewie...

Shamrock

Recommended Posts

The first time he was forced to the back of the field for the start due to trouble, and then I saw him interview and how happy he was despite having to start at the back, I said to Mush:

That boy has something in his pocket that he's hiding, and I would put money on it that he wins the race this Sunday.

And he did...

Now this week? Oh! A crash! Now I'm calling it - I KNOW his team has something good they are hiding. There is no way on God's Green Earth that the Stewie I know would be happy in an interview about starting in the back. And he was grinning. After losing his pole position. Grinning.

I'm an engineer at heart and I like probability and statistics. Here are my observations:

1) a happy Stewie even though he will start at the rear of the pack

2) a happy Stewie even though he loses a pole position

3) the last time he started from the back was at this track

4) happens to be the last time he won too

5) his record here is a great one and he is known for having things dialed in on this track

My bet? He wins this week unless someone knocks him out intentionally. He's got something good in that car that he doesn't want anyone to know about...

<<looks at calendar. How about I bet you a gazillion dollars he DOESN'T win?

smartass. I meant the Glen - it is his track. :-P I was typing this while I was on a con call. :D

I stand by what I say: his team is hiding something really really good... more power to them until they get caught...

    • Donovan seems like highest risk to me. Lloyd and May have already established relationships with all these kids. There’s probably guys hitting the portal that they recruited from HS. And then there’s the possibility of transferring their own guys from their current teams. They’ve also been recruiting the HS kids for like the next 5 years already. Look at the Iowa coach who hit the ground running by transferring all his guys from his D2 program. Or going across sports to Cignetti transferring all his JMU guys year one then building off that to a national title year 2. Donovan is starting from square one having been in the NBA so long and he’s already 60. So you’re potentially punting year 1 for a guy you are just hoping to be a 10 year hire while you figure out how to actually develop your next home grown 20yr guy. That’s 1/10th of the time you have him, more or less at best. The hope would be that he would find some high level assistants who have been working the college recruiting trails already, but then are you giving up his ideal staff just to get a foothold in recruiting and transfers. Think Belichick year one was bad? Imagine how much worse it would be without Steve Belichicks transfer portal pulls. Hoping Mays or Lloyd are all they’re cracked up to be.
    • I don't care if you block me. I'm honestly tired of seeing you bash the heels and Hornets and pretend to be a fan. Get a life.  And like I said before.. Hang the banners.  Been 11 years since Duke even made it to a championship
    • When you have to keep blocking people you might be the dumbass.
