per Boston Globe:

-Bill Belichick has 218 career wins (regular season and playoffs combined), and can pass Paul Brown (222) and Curly Lambeau (229) to move into fourth place on the all-time list. He would trail just Tom Landry (270), George Halas (324), and Don Shula (347).

-With one playoff win, Belichick would become the all-time winningest coach in the postseason, tied with Tom Landry with 20 playoff victories each. Belichick is currently tied #2 with Don Shula with 19 playoff victories each

-The Patriots are seeking to become just the second team to win at least 10 games in 12 consecutive seasons. Only the 49ers (16 straight seasons from 1983-98) have accomplished the feat.

-Brady can become the sixth QB to throw for 50,000 career yards with 851 more. Brady just needs 176 yards to tie Warren Moon with the 6th most passing yards in history

Current Career Passing Yds Leaders

71,838 - Favre

64,964 - P. Manning (age 38 and still going)

61,361 - Marino

51,475 - Elway

51,081 - Brees (age 35 and still going)

49,325 - Moon

49,149 - Brady (age 37 and still going)

    • I'm more impressed with the UDFA that the guys they have drafted in the first the last 2 years. A whole lot of prove it is still needed before any improvement should be talked about seriously.
    • Sure.    ignore that he said this roster wasn’t good in 2023 to 2024 but keep up the effort
    • While I don't believe its a must win, (we have been better on the road this post season) it is definitely A NEED TO WIN the longer this series goes the more pronounced the Canes advantage on rest and health will be! If we hold serve at home in games 1 and 2 guaranteeing a 6 game minimum series for them if we lose the road games..... by the game 4 and 5 I expect them to be beat they have played A LOT OF HOCKEY the last three years, they have MINIMAL rest off a more physical than one might have expected series vs the leafs.... you know Tampa took their pound of flesh in round 1 from them. Combine all that with the fact that even though this year's canes squad isn't as talented as last years this IS a better squad than the one they swept last time that had McKenzie Mckeathern on line 1 Turbo with a broken hand a banged uo and eventually concussed Slavin (and even though it was a sweep 6 OTS and 4 1 goal losses is hardly dominant)  This year Bob hasn't been superman (hes probably gonna still have a great save percentage agiast us just a side effect of our style) Thatchuk is maybe 50% (3 game winners agiast us) their defense no longer has Gudas and several other downgrades.  While the Canes have a healthy and performing Svechnikov along with other big guys to counteract florida like Carrier, Jankowski, Robinson.   I by know means think it will happen but I either see this as a low scoring dog fight or a series were the canes surprise and end up dominating.
