suggs on deangelo williams

You know, I used to think our running problems were merely because our O-line. However, they aren't hitting it like they used too. They are so slow off the line that it can affect our running game too. Yes, our O-line is bad, but (like you said), our running backs don't do them any favors either. It's just all bad.

Give us a legitimate RB and our OL would look like top 5.

Dwill and Stew are so damn slow hitting the holes. See how quick Bell was hitting the holes last week?

criticism of williams is largely a product of his contract imo. it's not his fault and i certainly dont expect him to refuse his paycheck but unless he's a top 10 back it hurts the team to have to pay him every week on his current contract.

If he was making plays, I wouldn't criticize.

You ain't see no one complaining about Gore or Beastmode.

I don't know that our OL would look like top 10, but it would definitely help. Here's a question, if we end up 6-10 (which I hope we don't) do we take Todd Gurley or an O-lineman?

If I'm the GM, easily GURLEY. Imagine defense having to game plan for Cam and Gurley.

We want to run so damn much even with an UDFA Reeves, why not run it with Gurley.

It's a deep OT class next year. We could find a legitimate OT (Erving/Drango) in the 2nd and even a solid one in the 3rd (Corey Robinson/ Ereck Flowers/Daryl Williams).

its is too much money invested at that position and makes me angry to know we would be better off with a rb like that but can't have it for years to come. meanwhile we'll keep saying "double trouble" like...

We can dump Dwill after the season.

If we keep on suckn, we better be thinking Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon.

It's time we need new fresh legs back there.

Dwill and Stew sure gave us the double trouble.

that nickname cursed us because it should have never been. the reality is they racked up those yards not because of awesomeness but our lack of passing in 2008-2009 season... we couldn' smh

We were moving the ball with Williams in the game. When he left, Shula panicked and couldn't adjust.

By passing the ball.  Let that sink in.  We were moving the ball BY PASSING IT to Olsen , Cotchery and Benjamin.

Then Shula decided to run up the gut with Reaves and such.  Oh, and long pass plays with a suspect O-line. Don't forget that.

I'm hoping my sarcasm detector is broken, but in case it isn't...seriously?  He waited until the holes opened up for him (something I would never have believed possible until last week!) and then took advantage.  He wasn't busting through right after the hand-off...

So, what you're saying is OT in the 2nd AND 3rd...Hmmm I could get with that!  LOL

He was looking like Shady last week. Making something out of nothing most of the time.

Blount was hitting those open holes.

    • I hope you understand that this Anti Bryce thing as you call it is really a pro Panthers thing. I think I can safely use we. We want the best for the Panthers.  As far as this other post saying ‘Anti’ Bryce people do misinformation.. you mean like going all in on “Renfro should have caught” that poorly thrown ball? I guess it was week 1. And calling it a drop. Comical btw.  I wonder, did you call that out or let it slide because it aligned with your agenda?
    • These are great posts with the comparisons and the numbers.   I haven’t lookyat Smity’s numbers since probably the first time he was on the ballot.  But if you watched every week you know what he is. Whatever his yardage or targets numbers were.  He was fuging dominant. I have watched since the AFL days and seen who there is to see. There are many great WRs over the years. GREAT WRs. Smitty is up there in the game of football.
    • Smith is clear cut HOF if you judge what he did by reception. Fitzgerald was a stat padder.    The most Steve Smith was ever targeted in his career was in 2005 (150 targets). The same year he wins the triple crown.    Larry Fitzgerald was targeted more than 150 times over 9 separate seasons. Not once eclipsing 1500 yards in a season.    The over glazing of Larry Fitzgerald going around is way over blown. ARZ was top 10 in passing attempts nearly his entire prime. Steve Smith and Andre Johnson had it far worse and would have surpassed his #s in the same situation.
