Ravens are a two time SB champion team...not something the Panthers can relate to...no one in the FO/staff for the Panthers has any sort of intelligence or fortitude to make moves like that.

 

And they're the perfect comparison considering both organizations came in at the same time

They lost two of their last three regular season games that year and had two of their lower scoring games of that season.

The next year they went from a top 10 offense to a bottom seven offense and missed the playoffs.

But they won the division and got a home game against a team with a better record, won and got some confidence and got hot.

My main takeaway is that we need to win the NFCS and hope we get on a roll like they did

      No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad

      I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.

      Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible.
