I didn't see any accountability on his part. Hardly ever do. Fire his fuging ass.

This is one of my biggest problems with the coaching staff. Everything is always the players fault and never any of theirs. However, we are still bitching about some of the same damn problems year after year with different players. It is clearly a strategic and schematic failing and as such it is past time for them to shoulder some of the blame.

    • Accounting might seem like a dry and number-heavy subject, but it's actually the backbone of any financially sound business or organization. Here are the 5 main reasons why accounting is so important: Seeing Clearly: Tracking Your Financial Health Imagine running a business without knowing how much money you have coming in or going out. That's a recipe for disaster! Accounting provides a clear picture of your financial health by recording every income and expense. This lets you see exactly where your money is going, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions about your finances. Tax Time Tamers: Staying Compliant with Regulations Taxes are a fact of life, and good accounting practices make tax season a breeze. By keeping accurate records, you can easily generate reports that comply with tax regulations. This saves you time, money, and a whole lot of stress come tax time. Smarter Decisions: Making Informed Choices Financial data is like gold for any business owner or manager. Accounting gives you the information you need to make smart choices. Thinking about expanding your product line? Accounting can show you if you have the financial resources to handle it. Debating between hiring a new employee or upgrading equipment? Accounting data can help you weigh the costs and benefits. Future Focus: Planning for Growth and Success Where do you see your business in five years? Strong accounting practices allow you to forecast future financial performance. This helps with budgeting, setting financial goals, and making strategic plans for growth and success. Building Trust: Attracting Investors and Partners Accurate and transparent financial statements are essential for building trust with investors, creditors, and potential business partners. When you have a solid accounting system in place, it demonstrates your financial responsibility and makes your business more attractive for investment and collaboration.
    • Gaming often gets a bad rap. Parents might worry about screen time, and some folks see it as a mindless escape. But the truth is, video games can offer a surprising range of benefits that extend far beyond the controller. From mental agility to social connection, let's explore why gaming can be an important part of a well-rounded life. Learning Through Play: Sharpening Your Cognitive Skills Think video games are just for fun? Think again! Many games require you to solve puzzles, strategize your next move, and react quickly to changing situations. These challenges can actually help sharpen your cognitive skills in a way that's both engaging and rewarding. Problem-solving powerhouse: Games often present obstacles that require creative thinking and strategic planning. Overcoming these hurdles can strengthen your problem-solving muscles, making you better equipped to tackle challenges in the real world too. Attention to detail: Spotting hidden clues, remembering intricate level layouts, and reacting to subtle changes in the environment – these are all skills honed by gaming that can translate to improved focus and attention to detail in your daily life. Decision-making on the fly: Fast-paced games put your reflexes and decision-making to the test. The ability to analyze a situation quickly and make split-second choices is a valuable skill that can benefit you in everything from sports to business. Boosting Brainpower: The Cognitive Benefits of Gaming Studies have even shown that gaming can have a positive impact on brain function. Research suggests that certain games can: Increase gray matter: This brain tissue plays a crucial role in memory, learning, and muscle control. Studies have linked regular gaming to an increase in gray matter volume in specific areas of the brain. Enhanced hand-eye coordination: Action games that require precise timing and dexterity can improve hand-eye coordination, which benefits activities like playing sports or playing a musical instrument. Improved spatial awareness: Navigating complex 3D worlds in video games can enhance your spatial awareness and mental mapping skills, which can be helpful for tasks like remembering directions or visualizing objects in 3D. Connecting with Others: The Social Side of Gaming Gaming isn't just a solitary activity. Multiplayer games allow you to connect with friends and family, work together towards a common goal, and build strong social bonds. Building teamwork skills: Many games require players to collaborate, strategize, and communicate effectively to succeed. This online collaboration can foster teamwork skills that translate well to group projects or working in teams. Finding your community: Gaming communities can provide a sense of belonging and connection for people with shared interests. Whether you're passionate about fantasy role-playing games, intricate simulations, or competitive online battles, there's likely a gaming community out there waiting to welcome you. Overcoming social anxiety: For some people who struggle with social anxiety, online gaming can be a safe space to connect with others and build social confidence in a low-pressure environment. Stress Relief and Relaxation: The Power of Play Let's face it, life can be stressful. Gaming can be a great way to unwind after a long day and de-stress. Immersing yourself in a captivating story or challenging yourself with a puzzle can take your mind off your worries and provide a much-needed mental break. Escapism in a healthy way: Sometimes, a little escapism is just what the doctor ordered. Games can transport you to fantastical worlds or provide a sense of accomplishment, offering a temporary break from the daily grind. Mindfulness through focus: Engaging gameplay can require such focus that it pushes out distracting thoughts and worries, promoting a state of mindfulness and relaxation. Finding the Right Balance: Making Gaming a Positive Force While gaming offers a wealth of benefits, it's important to find a healthy balance. Here are some tips: Set time limits: Be mindful of how much time you spend gaming and set boundaries to ensure it doesn't interfere with other important aspects of your life. Variety is key: Explore different genres of games to keep things fresh and engage different areas of your brain. Prioritize real-world connections: While gaming can be social, it shouldn't replace face-to-face interaction. Make sure you're nurturing your real-world relationships too.
    • Slow your roll a little. Back in 2021, while many of us just wanted OL with almost every pick, there was a lot of cheering when we got TMJ right before the Saints. We got all excited for Fittermagic and in the end, we got poo instead of a pro-bowl C many of us wanted and NO got a starting LB and had to double up in 2022 on WR and got Olave and Shaheed. I don’t think we won the “screwing over” part of the draft then, and it worries me every time I see posts that mirror something we did in the Rhule, Hurney, Fitt and Reich periods. Here’s to hoping for different results.
