Hotels Around TWC Arena

Tub of Goo

Recommended Posts

So my girlfriend got me tickets to the the Hornets v. Thunder next Saturday and I'm super pumped, haven't been this year yet.

Anyway, I was planning on surprising her for valentine's day and try and get a hotel room near the arena (we're early 20s so normally just crash at a friends place in Charlotte). Trying to find a happy medium between $, walking distance and niceness, any suggestions?

anywhere down south blvd and ride the light rail if cheap is your goal.

otherwise i have stayed at the holiday inn quite a few drunken nights. nice place. all hotels in center city are pretty nice, just shop around and ask for discounts. the art of negotiation is still alive if you are brave enough.

There are nicer areas around Charlotte than South Blvd but the light rail is much better value ($4.40 round trip, free parking at park and ride station) than $10-15 parking uptown.

    • Rotating in Chuba was beyond stupid and really hurt our offense overall. We’ve been in a good rhythm the last 6 quarters or so but Canales figured disrupting that with Chuba would be worth it Rico fits this offense so much better than Chuba    As far as grades go I know that ain’t our RB1, starting Center and our supposedly deep WR room and exciting talented young TE in dead last. Weird. I wonder if that has any correlation on QB play  Even that first incomplete ball Bryce threw in the end zone that hit Legette’s hands. Legette had no business being there so early. Legette went into scramble drill when that ball was intended for Coker who led up because of the traffic there
    • Yeah Jets have pretty much been in every game they've played and have barely lost to really good teams. They are much better than their record says Imo
    • I kinda just wanna see what the offense can do with a QB who has proven he can move the football in the NFL. If Dalton wasn't a shadow of his former self I'd be fine with him but Father Time has definitely caught up with him. If we start piling up the losses as the schedule gets tougher and the passing offense continues to be anemic that might cast Canales his job and it's worth a very low risk move IMO to at least give him a fighting chance. The thought of yet another Tepper rebuild just isn't at all exciting to me having already seen a few of them. I'm about giving this current guy a fighting chance.
