Comparing the Panthers 2014 v 2015 - Part 1 OFFENSE

Apologies that I've not yet posted my comparative analysis of the Panthers' Defense.  I hope to get to that later today or certainly by tomorrow.  I'm experimenting with some charts and trying to figure out how best to overcome the formatting challenges.

But I have some additional thoughts on the offense.  It struck me today that while there IS greater continuity among the offense this year than in 2014, the offense is still younger, less experienced, and has considerably less time playing together than our defense.  That reassures me a bit in the midst of some of the well-documented struggles by the offense in last week's practices.  I think with some more time playing together, we will see our offense improve quite significantly.  The analysis comparing the "continuity" between our likely 2015 starters on offense and defense is here:

    • I presented that scenario because this is a home game and we seemed to have improved in some capacity in that area as of recently. The problem with the possibility of sweeping the Bucs is this team has had a habit of quickly falling victim to momentum shifts. The Bucs are coming off a bitter loss the same as the Panthers but the Bucs have a much better proven track record this time of year and they have performed when the pressure is on unlike our Panthers. We have a shot against the Seahawks here in BOA but that is a matchup that could quickly get out of hand because they are a well coached team and that goes back to the momentum shifts I mentioned. I just don't see this team beating the Bucs in their stadium to close the season. Tall order to say the least.
    • I’d give it another year for Sanders and Evans, I don’t much care what you do with Tremble’s spot. Let him have another year or maybe replace him. Haven’t looked at his contract so that may be the determining factor.
    • Following the crazy up down pattern we finish 9-8 with an improbable sweep of TB, and lay an egg in the home playoff game.  I don’t know if I can sign on to sweeping TB but I suppose it’s possible, they aren’t really that good this year.    ps I can buy beating TB Sunday and losing to Seattle.  Then it just gets to can you fluke one game. Any given Sunday. So we’ll see.
