all started with how foster treated him... lets not forget that as well...

yeah, and he also provided Williams with the perfect blueprint of what not do to as a RB. Foster had many many many many games to show Williams what not to do. He did a good job. Thanks Foster.....but I your teaching method is a bit odd.

I also think having an experience FB like Hoov could have made a tremendous difference in D-will's attitude and work ethic. Hoover came in undrafted and has worked his arse off to stay on the team and do whatever is asked, i am sure he gets to spend alot of time w/ D-will and stew. hopefully they inherit hoover's work ethic and love for the game, they have the physical talents. its great to have a team full of good character guys that you can cheer for each week, and i can only hope d-will retires a panther (in about 10 more yrs of course)

      Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.

      Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.

      It is goofy how some people hate Bryce so much that they're flat out lying to try and remain entitled to their pessimism. It's insanity. Most fans are realists and eagerly awaiting the season to see if we get pre- or post-benching Bryce to start the season and how much he is able to do with some young and developing weapons. Many of us understand that these young guys are going to have growing pains on the job as well as the new defense, but the fans with all of the excuses for why Bryce can't be successful are pounding the no excuses drum. Personally, I'd prefer the Keep Pounding drum.
