The extra point that wasn't that may have won the game

That reminds me of the end of regulation of the infamous 2003 X-Clown Panthers-Rams double overtime game.  We were up by three and the Rams were just moving the ball at will down the field.  For some reason with the ball on about the 20 yard line and about 30 seconds left to play the Rams decided to wind down the clock and go for the FG and the tie instead of the win.  The thing is prior to that (if I remember correctly) Kasay missed a long field goal that would have put us up by 6 which would have forced the Rams to go for the TD which I feel they would have gotten.  So missing the field goal may have helped us win that game.

So, if Gano had not missed the extra point earlier, obviously the Panthers would have been up by 4 on Indy's last drive in regulation.  They would have had to go for the TD. The way they were making plays on that drive, I think there is a good chance they would have won.  Instead, they could go for the tie, and we know the rest of the story.

Perhaps, the best extra point miss in Panther history.

Me and a buddy had this discussion a few hours ago. Great minds and all that? ;-)
