Rematch of the game that catapulted the team to winning 4 out of 5. Shouldn't be easy this time around.

Also Jimmy Butler is mad that Brian Roberts took a shot as the clock was winding down in that game, so that's whatever...

Looking forward to seeing the rotations again, particularly that second unit.

Have to rebound much better than we have this season. That's not sustainable for 82 games.

Not expecting a victory but would be nice with Portland here Sunday.

Eric Collins just doesnt know when to shut up.

"Theres the actor michael jordan, and no matter what he does, he will always be a thousand rungs below michael jordan the basketball player."  Stephanie stepped in to try to soften that blow, but to no avail.

He then follows that up with "marc gasol was just the doughy younger brother of Pau." Dell and Steph say nothing lol.

Also, good 3Q for PJ.

You gotta wonder how long they're going to give it.

The three-person team just doesn't work.

I think they were looking for someone to give the gus johnson-effect but, there's only one gus johnson.  And honestly, i prefer the more even keel and analysis approach of Dell and Steph.  Dell isnt going to scream when a big, exciting play happens, but he gets you in the emotions of it all in how he calls it.  His "too quick, too fast" call comes to mind.

Kemba: 6/22 on the night.

That bullshit is worse than even PJ Hairston. What is going on?

He's just not good. In retrospect, aside from Decembers of most seasons where he'd go on a hot streak, you could argue (and some have on here) that he never was good to begin with and only got away with mediocrity because he had awful offensive players around him that made him look better.

This is why I didn't understand the "Oh, we can just move him to a sixth man" talk. Bringing him off the bench isn't magically going to teach him how to shoot a basketball and it's not going to keep him from launching twenty shots a game even though the roster rebuild was designed to take that burden off him.

On top of that, his defense has fallen off to the point where he was torched by Jose Calderon the other night.

There's ultimately a value for every player out there on the trade block but I'm not sure what Kemba's is or who would want to take him or Jefferson. But if there's one thing Cho does well, it's trades.

Unfortunately, I can't say I disagree with you here.

I like Kemba, I really do. But it seems like he is just trying way too hard to be the guy, instead of a role player within an entire group.

As far as trades, I'm not going to give up on him yet, but I don't know if I can watch another season of him shooting endless bricks.

Very glad to see this board wising up on Kemba.  He's a volume shooter that can't shoot.  He doesn't involve his teammates well.

We've been decent exactly twice since Kemba has been here (I'm calling us decent this year).  In both instances, there was another facilitator on the team that ran the offense (McBob, and now Batum/Lin helping).

Kemba is about the 20th best PG in the league.  That is not bad per se, except I think management thinks he is something much better than that and they coordinate personnel moves consistent with that.

MJ falls in loves with guys based on their NCAA tourney run and never looks back.

Somewhat related, if we had taken Winslow, this team would be 6-3 IMO.

Whether it was Winslow or Kaminsky, either one would be riding the bench here right now regardless.

Doesn't really matter who you draft if your coach doesn't like giving rookies minutes.

Exactly why it's time to let Clifford go

This whole "vendetta against rookies" idea has to stop.

He didn't play Biyombo because Biyombo was awful. He didn't play Vonleh because Vonleh was also awful. He tried his hardest to make Lance work and it didn't work out. He freaking starts PJ Hairston and actually likes what he could be capable of if he could get his head on straight and hit some shots. He's even worked Frank into the games already this year, we just have too many front court players.

Maybe, just maybe the folks with "potential" that Charlotte brings in just aren't that good. "Potential" can only get you so far especially when you're trying to make the playoffs. Remember how well we thought Lance was going to compliment Kemba and MKG? It was a disaster.

Frank definitely has skills but when you watch him it's clear he's still getting accustomed to the speed of the game and the offense. He and the team will be fine down the stretch.

With MKG out Winslow would be starting over PJ right now because of his defense  (which ironically is why they didn't pick him. With MKG on the roster he would be redundant and then never see the floor.)

Clifford is phasing out Kemba and Alfense. He's got a team shooting a ton of 3s (despite obvious shortcomings in that department) and one of the best second units in the league right now. He's giving Frank minutes early in the season. What more do you want from the guy?

This is about a 40 win basketball team talent wise playing at a 40 win pace. I don't see the major issues here.

    • This is huge may not be a trap game but this plays a major part in what they want to do. If we can get some pressure on Sam we know what he does with pressure coming hit and heavy. Also we may be able to take the top off their defense a backup safety trying to stop TMac or Cooker over the top or forcing him to play the backend should allow us to run the ball somewhat effectively. Either they allow some runs or we take some shots and if Bryce and whoever can connect deep we’ll be in business for another big time win against a top notch opponent. Might not be a trap game but health travel game plans all play a major role in each weeks game plan and this week might be leaving our way. We’re missing some replaceable pieces they’re missing key anchors to the offense and defense major difference time to solidly ourselves at one of the top teams in the nfc tomorrow fellas buckle up.
    • Yes.  If I am not mistaken, we need to sign Coker to the ERFA tender and insist that XL spends his spring and summer at a WR camp and not Coon huntin on his four wheeler.  XL was raw when we picked him--which is why I wanted to go another direction--and we are seeing how raw.  He is basically learning a position.     The Panthers will make their move in 2026 to be an NFL powerhouse behind Bryce.  Bryce needs intelligent WRs who catch the ball.  That said, we need a solid #2 to challenge XL and make cutting him easy, if necessary.  A #2 WR (intented to be a #1 by now) with under 400 yards is embarrassing.   On offense, you have to ask, "Where can we get better?"  In my view, #2 WR, TE (although they are improving) and maybe C (again, if we re-sign Mays, he is trending up and at 26, entering his prime--I say stay with him and find competition later in the draft (not good for C).  OL depth maybe?  In other words, XL is a glaring weak spot.
