Unfortunately we have a GM who doesn't believe in SB windows, and won't spend big in FA, and dumps a star player every off season. When you're in cap hell that has to happen in order to slowly recover. Once you're in better shape, and have your franchise QB, you need to load up for a run imo. We loaded up for a losing season. Astonishing. I still can't believe that happened. Am I dreaming?

i guess you missed the part where i said Gettleman using $$ to improve the team would involve mortgaging the future for the present. the Norman move looks bad but I still would rather go through these growing pains in the secondary than drop an absurd amount of money on a zone CB who is already nearing the end of his prime years as a CB.

The 'core to kill for' that you speak of has been underperforming BIG TIME this year. Just look at KK who is losing millions by the week. 

Winning in the NFL is never a given. We knew what we had with our team last year. DG chose to change it up and now it is blowing up in his face. I'd take mortgaging our future for a superbowl all day, every day...

I don't care at all if we have to go through some cap hell for a major run at the SB with a loaded team. What in the hell have I been waiting for this entire gotdamn time?! A a loaded run at the gotdamn SB! What does fatass do? Dumps our best defender and brings in poo nothing! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!

Spending big in free agency is a crap shoot. Outside of josh what star player did Gettleman drop?

Name me any other GM who lets arguably the top player at a prime position leave in FA, whilst going into the season with around 20 million $ in cap space.

This team lost Smitty and Hardy. We struggled to adjust but we found a way to succeed without them eventually. We can do it again without Norman too.

The tag was removed late in free agency. $14M was tied up to Josh. What difference maker is left in may?

Exactly. Gettleman effectively handcuffed us in free agency by tying that much cash into a player that we didn't even end up keeping. And my argument was that we should have never let him go in the first place. The guy is balling out for the 'skins now and they are sitting pretty at 4-2

No, but I'm a fan. I want a trophy ASAP. Yet, winning teams like New England and Seattle lose 'stars' all the time. They manage however. Granted, those teams have stronger coaching but the principle is the same. Sometimes to prolong success, a star has to go. 

Do you think the Panthers will morph into a Patriots level franchise in your lifetime? If the answer that just popped into your head is "fug NO" then you need to jump on board with the load up and win one plan.
