Why so many penalties on the offense?

I notice pretty much every week, every game, the panthers are getting penalized over and over again. Why the fug is this continuing to be a problem every week? Aren't they supposed to be professionals?  I mean its ridiculously frustrating when you back up 10 yards even on first down, that usually puts us in 3rd and impossible. Why do you think that this isn't being fixed somehow? 

And another somewhat unrelated question, why do you think that the Panthers seem to almost always be so late in snapping the ball before plays , every game. I very often watch Cam just barely get the ball snapped , and often times calling stupid non-essential timeouts b/c the ball didn't get hiked in time.

      No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad

      I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.

      Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible.
