Pretty interesting read. I keep searching for things to see if Fox has been consisitant in his coaching practices and what experts thought of him as well as players thought of him and his coaching style. Here are some excerpts:

(Read the whole article and give your thoughts:D) Keep in mind this is 2003-4 season

Belichick versus Fox is a chess match. Though they share a background with Bill Parcells, Fox coaches more like Parcells than Belichick, who was Parcells' right hand man for decades.

"The Panthers put out their starting 11 and they don't substitute very often because they know they have guys who know how to play," Weis said. "They don't take their front four out very much. They mix in a couple of guys to give them a little rest. They have their three linebackers on the field most of the time, and they leave them in a lot when they go nickel. They don't substitute a lot in the secondary either."

Unlike Parcells, Fox doesn't play mind games. He's a motivator who makes things fun for his players.

"You enjoy coming to work every day because Coach Fox makes work fun," Panthers linebacker Dan Morgan said. "He has a bunch of sayings, more sayings than any coach I've been around. And he's a funny guy. If you mess up, you are going to know about it, but if you are good, you are going to know about it."

Morgan and his teammates say their style of defense is similar to the style of the Ravens.

"Our defense allows you to fly around to the ball," Morgan said. "You put pressure on the quarterback. We run a lot of Cover 2 and we have different kinds of Cover 2, but we mix in enough stuff that you never know what we are gong to."

Which makes Super Bowl XXXVIII a guessing game. Belichick has the edge because he has the team coming from the better conference this season and has beaten more good teams. Opponents consider him a fox. Just don't count out the other fox (John). His players also believe in him.

I highlighted a lot of the things I found interesting.

    • I think Ransom will be a solid player for us.  He played beside Caleb Downs, the cornerstone of the Ohio State defense last year and some have him as a top 5 pick for the 2026 draft.  He was characterized as the smart, instinctive, versatile safety.   I just don't think S will be a liability unless we have injuries.  I am very interested in seeing what they have in the three UDFA safeties; I see one making the roster. As for CB, I think they are higher on Wade-Smith than most of us are. Again, depth is a concern.  We have to hope Jackson has another solid season and Horn does not injure his leg or toe on one of the yard lines.   I am not sure I would compare it to last season's DL because this year's DL will cover a lot of deficiencies, but I know what you mean---our weak link.
    • Lol.  Now you make me defend DG. We had the best IOL in the league under DG and Oher looked solid until he got that bad concussion. DG drafted Moton and Daryl Williams as well. The OL fell apart under Hurney 2.0 and Fitterer. DG also drafted Star and Short. Sorry, but that was all in 5 drafts so let’s not make stuff up about not trying to improve hog mollies. Gettleman did a ton wrong and took the wrong guys, but he and Rivera had a deep and talented team and it got blown up really quickly. Also, I love Cam but he wasn’t the best QB in the league. He had the best year in 2015 but he wasn’t Brady. I think Dan has had a solid offseason, way better than last year but I’m not putting on rose colored glasses until we actually have a 10 win season. Again, Dave and Ron had 3 10+ wins seasons out of 5.
