Tyus Jones?

Note: This is not a rumor or anything and I have no inside info so idk who Cho is or isn't targeting.

It's unlikely that Charlotte will trade one of their "core" pieces regardless of whether you think they should or not. What could very well happen is that Cho will make another non sexy, under the radar trade like he did with Mo Williams, Courtney Lee, Miles Plumlee, etc) to try and help the team in the short term.

Any under the radar trade would involve a combination of Lamb, Sessions and Roberts going out to compensate what comes in.

I'm not a Duke fan or anything so no bias here, but what about making a play for Tyus Jones? The more I think about it, the more it makes sense to me.

Why?

He's cheap with a couple years of cheap control

He plays well with pick and roll

He can create shots for others decently well

He can shoot from 3

He's also buried behind several PG's in MIN and Dunn is their future at that position so I'd bet he'd be available. Plus he isn't playing a ton of minutes so I doubt he'd cost that much. Might could get away with Roberts and a 2nd Round pick for him.

Thoughts?

If all it cost was Roberts or Sessions expiring and a second then sure why not. He can't be worse than what we have now. If they wanted Lamb then we'd have to get something else with Tyus to make that deal.

Or I could see us trying to send them Lamb and Sessions plus a second for Rubio. He wouldn't help our second unit in terms of scoring from the PG position but he is a good passer so he should help in that regards. Also with his size you'd like to think he could play with Kemba(and guard 2s) in situations where we want to go smaller.

I'd take a flyer on Quinn Cook in the d-league. Dude is putting up 30 and 40 point games right now. He is a distributer first but a lethal playmaker. Very good 3 point percentage and has really become creative as a driver and distributer. His defense sucks tho.. but yeah. Check his recent numbers and highlights

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
