How many of you expected a loss, but hoped for a win?

Crazy, score first. Defense is doing a phenomenal job (compared to the first two games). Jake has only thrown one pick - make that 6 turnovers on the season from him. All is good. Wait...John Fox steps in and says No, we're going to lose. 3 straight 3 and outs really shows the killer instinct a PANTHER has. A clean sweep of our entire coaching staff needs to go. Its not ALL in the play calling or ALL in the wins. It rests in the ability of a football TEAM to coach players, develop players, and PLAY the PLAYERS who can help you win. No special teams is one obvious lack of ability to develop a team and nurture talent.

The panther has been given a bad name by this team. If Fox were a panther, he wouldn't be a panther at all, he'd be a butterfly.

*I endnote this post with a no beer disclaimer. The Panthers don't deserve the money spend on the Miller Lite I would buy.*

i have expected a loss and hoped for a win all 3 games. we were actually favored by a half point over the eagles! what a joke that was. the falcons and now even the cowboys have covered the spread in each game so we've lost by more than we were supposed to. so we're 0-3 for real as well as 0-3 against the spread.

next week against washington we should win and i would guess we'd be favored. i hope we cover the spread because i finally have a chance to pick us for the first time of the season.

    • Because Jarvis (who is our best scorer IMO) has been stuck on Staals checking line.    Rod gets enamored with putting him in no man's land with Staal because hes also just as good defensively as he is on offense.
    • New season new teams. Everyone we face has improved their team as well. There's now a full season of tape on Canales's offense and Bryce running it. When they win 7 games I will become a believer.
    • I mean I think its a bit disingenuous to call basically anyone here a casual fan. I don't think the casual fan creates a profile then logs into it, in the offseason, to comments on mundane offseason topics.. I dont think anyone on here would be considered a casual fan. That said, I get your point. My POV is from the player. They sign this contract, move their family because of these contracts. When Clowney came him, we basically had a coming home party for him.  So yeah, I get why we did it and I know that ultimately the owner doesnt 'save' money, but I can feel for the human side of the player, which is why I want them to get all they can while they can.
