I don't know how to phrase this question about Character players

We all hear that the Panthers only go for players of high character. Looking back at John Fox's Coaching Stint in New York and I haven't researched a lot of it,but it would seem coming from NY, He could handle guys that had those Character flaws and I'm sure there were guys on those NY and Steeler teams that weren't stand up guys.

My point, Maybe our guys are Too nice. And maybe It's not necessarily John Fox who is all about Character. Could the "High Character" menatality be coming directly from the top, Jerry Richardson? Could there be a difference in philosophy between ownership and Coaching staff? I don't know. Just trying to start healthy dialog.

I do believe that our guys can be too nice on the field. You see it quite a bit, Helping opposing players up off the ground, smiling, laughing on the field at some times.

Our history is only 15 years old, but I cannot think of any defensive player that ever was just a nasty son of a bitch other than Kevin Greene and Brenston Buckner. I personally thnk you need player like that who are just a little crazy. Am I wrong?

Kevin Green was crazy too. He def. wasn't a high Character guy all the time. I remember him Choking a Coach on the sideline one game. Anyone remember the coach he got into it with?

He was a pariah here when he went to SF for that year, too. I liked him though... Greene and Lathan... Salt and Pepper!
