Yea we certainly did not look like we were ready for the season to begin. We did come on stronger and outshoot them in the 3rd period, and that is a little encouraging. Fortunately there are 81 more games to go!

'Canes are going to Boston tonight. Puck drops at 7:00 again. Should be a good game. Hope to see some adjustments made. We just need some bounces to go our way.

Are we really this bad?

We may be. There is plenty of time to turn this around this season, but it doesn't look promising. Someone needs to coach our D up. PLAY THE BODY. Physicality anyone?

Apparently defense is optional in Carolina sports.

If we are unable to match the physicality of teams then this is going to be a long season. We can not keep getting pushed around when we have the puck, and we can not allow them to skate the zone every time they have the puck. We gotta put someone on the ice.

It's game 2 and Pitkanen hasn't played yet. No need to panic just yet, it's a long season.

On another note, anyone heard anything about Cole's injury?

All I could find was this:

It says they kept him out as a precaution due to the lopsided score. The extent of the injury unknown.
