On the bright side

We lost two games by 7 pts or less, and both of them had a last drive chance to tie or win. Think about it, we are not the Jaguars who got completely embarrassed today.

. I am disappointed  that we didn’t win against  the Redskins, but knew it would be difficult to play a desperate team on their home turf coming off a bad loss.

This Panthers team is only going to get better. As Cam said, I am done with sobbing and excited about the future.  Here are some positives:

-  Team bounced back after a 17-0 lead.  Bad teams would have folded and got blown out. This team fought back and had a chance to win.

- DJ Moore: made rookie mistake fumbles but also had a nice game receiving. Hopefully this means fewer targets for Smith or Wright.

- Defensive Line-  nice pressure today and gave our team a chance to stay in the game.

- Offensive line: was forced to pass block most of the game and gave Cam time to orchestrate some nice drives.

the football gods were against us today. Team still did good considering turnovers , bad reads , throws , and some play calling.

    • The Bucs waived shilo sanders after he got ejected.
    • I'm just tired of ppl saying he's so accurate and then have to see recievers slow down to recieve the ball, ruining any chance at YAC
    • Some people will really look at stuff like this and say "no more excuses" but then make excuses to try and explain away the validity of big-time throws. 🙃   Back on topic though, as I mentioned in the other AT thread earlier, I hope that the team is still exploring the deal. If the Vikings want the Panthers to take on some of the salary, then it had better be at worst a 4th-round pick (though I imagine Dan angling for a 3rd). If they're willing to take on all of it, then maybe at worst a 5th. Tough pill to swallow, giving up a 4th for a 35yr old WR, but if MIN believes they can have similar success behind McCarthy then it could be a smart deal for them. Hell, if AT has any gas in the tank and gives them a 1yr sweetheart deal to close out at home, even better for Minnesota. Yea, Bryce loses his best and most reliable WR. Hunter Renfrow though isn't what I would call a huge step down though (if he's as advertised throughout camp), and it gives more reps to TMac + XL + Coker. This season is all about continued development and answering some of the looming questions (Is Bryce the guy? Is Evero the DC going fwd? How do the young WRs develop? How long does it take this defense to bounce back from being historically awful?).
