I'm a huge Cam fan, but if where getting the back up to toss the ball deep on hail marrys there is something wrong. What I'm saying is IF Cam does get surgery And he misses say the first 4 weeks of next season you want our current back up or a proven guy like Colin Kap. 

I say Kap, would have all off season to get in shape and play book

If Cam's shoulder requires surgery that would sideline him for some significant portion of next year, hell yeah I'd be up for them bringing in Kaepernick as long as he realizes that he's a backup keeping Cam's seat warm.  Cam is simply a better QB, but Kaepernick is a better backup option than anything available right now.
