Lmao what? They were congratulating a local player. They play up the Steph Curry connection all the time. A player from the area who also went to a school in the area. How is this any different? Theyre trying to bring pride to the region and show support. Its not different from them shouting out all the North and South Carolina college basketball teams that make the NCAA tournament.

Umm, they posted a package of swag for Zion and a few days later he’s getting a jersey from Brees passing the torch to him. It seems pretty obvious we made a pass and got rejected so to speak.

There are people here who need this explained?

It's a downright desperate reach for recognition to a local talent whose popularity is reaching stratospheric levels as he goes pro to play for a bitter rival sports city.

Take the L, and move on.

What L?  The Panthers should take the L that Zion didn't play football?

Panthers Social Media is upstaged because they only gave a simple recognition tweet to someone that isn't playing in Carolina, and a team from the very city he is located in did more?

I mean..isn't how that is supposed to work?  For example, if someone from New Orleans was drafted first over all to play for the Hornets..wouldn't I expect Charlotte based teams to have a stronger welcome?
