If Tepper thinks McDaniels is his first pick then I think jumping to the front of the line is a smart move.  He can make an offer JM can't refuse. He might even ask JM to make a decision before meeting with Cleveland. I may have grown up in NC but I live in Texas where I was offered a much better job with much better pay.

Put it this way. Tepper wanted an MLS soccer team so bad he paid $325 million (most expensive in MLS history) to jump to the front of a long line of ownership teams courting MLS. Previous most expensive was only $200 million - 60+% less.  Man's got some money. I think I saw Tepper's net worth is around $12 billion. Meanwhile Brown's owner Haslam has a mere $1.8 billion. Hell, even Jerry Jones is only worth $8.6 Billion.

Money isn't an issue for Tepper.  If he wants Josh McDaniels he'll likely have to make a serious offer before Josh meets with any other organization or risk having to settle for one of the leftovers nobody else wanted.
