Hmmm...My Point of View

yea i'm very disappointed in this game no matter what ne one says, probably because no one told when The Carolina Panthers became a charity.

first off,for any one who is still hoping our defense becomes a top 10 d anytime soon it's not gonna happen.

our d is built(or coached)to make a play every now and then, they also will force a 3 and out on occasions, but until we can have some position address and play calling change i don't see this defense playing above subpar.

second,i'm tired of these guys who consider venting after a loss to be blasphemy.there's a different between venting and just saying random shh like trade peppers or release steve smith..ect.

third, lets quit with the trade release players bs,steve smith yeah he had a ugly holding call he also had two beautiful catches vs green bay.i'm sorry if Julius peppers can't somehow avoid two 350+ o linemen for the sack, instead of calling for his head why don't you look at the rest of the line.John Kasay misses a fg in what seemed to be hurricane Katrina, big whoop if we would have been aggressive and gone for some more yards we'd be popping champagne for the second day in the row.

four and final, can we please quit bringing up other teams, and past accomplishments to try and simulate what this season should amount to.

were are not the nyg from last year,we are not the 2003 Carolina panthers, and it's not written in stone that we will beat the giants in the playoffs due to it has happen to the eagles, cowboys, ect

    • Smitty is a legendary footballer player but this has really damaged his reputation as a person. You don’t cheat on a woman who has been with you through everything and gave you children and especially not with another man’s wife. He doesn’t even have any remorse about it, acting like nothing happened.
    • That's a big ass center! Is there any center in the NFL that weighs 320 lbs? Also, we drafted a center last season. Not sure this guy is a center even if he took reps at the senior bowl. Looks like a guard to me unless his build is better suited to a lesser weight. In a zone scheme centers need to be able to move quickly.
    • The majority of NFL draft picks don't play all too many snaps lined up directly across from another NFL player, and I don't think many people really realize this. Unless you play a game against one of the 2-4 schools that are putting half their lineup into the NFL each season, most teams who have multiple draft picks, MIGHT only have 2-4 draft picks in any given season. Some skill positions get around 30 players drafted each year, other positions are in the teens to low 20's.  With at least a handful of them coming from non power conference schools too.  So the odds for any WR or CB to get too many games lined up directly against another future draft pick is pretty low. The better odds are that they get lined up against a future NFL player, i.e. a junior or senior WR getting lined up against a freshman or sophomore DB who will get drafted in a couple of years. Then if you take it one step further and look for players who actually play in the NFL and make a difference.   You're basically looking at players drafted in the first 3 rounds of the draft, so a little less than 100 players a year, spread out across all the positions and conferences (which in today's massive conferences, teams have even lower odds of player the teams with more NFL players than ever before).
