Good game today

Went to a game for the first time in a few years. Very fun game to watch. Nice when a game like that ends on a defensive turnover then a big run for a TD. Lots of Flacons fans to talk smack with. Good beer, 77 degrees, and sunny. Nice to have a day like that in the middle of November. Fun Sunday!

I'm glad we won but I am still concerned with the enegry level coming out for the second half. The team seems to come out flat and a little slow. We score 21 in the first half and 7 pts in the 2nd half. A better team than the Falcons will take advantage of that.

Anyone else notice this? It has happened the last few games too

    • Nina King continues to run circles around the rest of college basketball. She's been ahead of the curve on everything, and is the biggest reason for Duke's success post-K IMO. I think Scheyer is great at many things, but Duke went into the NIL era 100% ready whereas everyone else was playing catchup.
    • Happy they won convincingly instead of letting them hang around. Montreal is cooked, and rather than play hockey, they've decided to take some really cheap shots at guys. I get a player may feel a need to set the tone, and I understand how that works. But to 2-hand cross check someone intentionally in the face, to have a guy down on the ice and put his head into the ice with a stick, to just start punching anyone who gets within arm's reach- that's not setting the tone. That is nothing short of playing dirty.  That said, the Canes.... oh boy. They could have run this score to 6-0 with half a power play. It's embarrassing how bad the PP is. If the Canes go to the Cup finals against a team who scores at least 1 goal per game on the PP, they'll lose the close games because of the lack of results on the PP.
    • Because he knows they are winning the cup. And I fully support his decision.
