why are so many people here

so easy to turn on our players? All this talk about smitty owes us one because of a holding penalty... he has given us a lot more than 1 and although it was stupid he is still steve smith and has won many ballgames for us. Also, the people who are bitching about how much they hate john kasay because he missed a 50 yard field goal when the ball wasn't snapped on time and there was huge wind gusts. Very few kickers in the league are going to make that kick and John Kasay has done a lot for us over the years and without him we wouldn't be where we are today. There have been numerous examples of this kind of thing throughout the season these are just the two that are happening right now. This is our team and they are 11-4 and are currently in first place in our division and are fighting for the #2 seed in the playoffs. What more do you people want? Whether you like it or not, this is our team and these are our players and if you don't like them then find another team. People do have bad games, it does happen because they are human. Sorry for the venting but people are pissin me off lately.

Because Ken Lucas sucks.

Steve Smith must have taken his manhood, because 2 or 3 years ago, Lucas was the best corner on this team, now he can't do squat.

The players aren't the problem, though, the coaches are.

CONSERVATIVE PLAY-CALLS on the last drive and in Overtime KILLED THIS TEAM.

John Fox was PLAYING FOR A 50 YARD field goal, when he had more than enough time to get much closer.

HE BLEW IT.

He's a fool.

why are so many people here so easy to turn on our players? .

Because 90% of the huddlers do not understand football. And they think it was just that one play or player that ruined the game. There is no I in Team and our team is probably the best team we have ever had in our short franchise history. The giants are a great team and we just couldn't stop the run. They exposed our weakness in the middle with Kemo out just as we did with Tampa. We are a pretty damn good football team. I'm sure they will make the correct adjustments going into NO on Sunday

How were we more conservative in the Giants game, than we were in the Bucs game? We are a running team and it was a very windy night, which made those down field passes very iffy. All this hate for our coordinators, based on losing one game to the defending Super Bowl champions, in their house no less, is freakin ridiculous.

It is losses like this that seperate the complacent losers with the people who want to win. You must have the Fox virus of mediocrity and I will not let it infect me.

I want to win just as much as you do.... but with your theories you're saying if a player makes one bad play then we should say f them and put them on the bench next week. You and people like you sure would make lousy coaches. You don't turn on people for making a bad play or for losing one game. Sure you are upset but then you look at the positives, such as deangelo having 4 touchdowns. Then, you start focusing on the Saints, which should be our priority not bitchin about what could've been or should've been, because in reality, IT'S ALREADY OVER so you need to get over it!

I do not turn on our players... Carolina is a great team, i have stood by them through thick and thin, like most people in charlotte, there are fair weather fans, i consider the people here at the huddle to be the diehard fans, the fans that go to game knowing we'll lose but still there every sunday cheering on their team... thats a real fan, the people that give up are not true fans, they are just fair weather liek the rest... Our players have their days, yes they are getting paid a great deal but you go in and day and day out playing football, throwing your body on the line and see if you do not have a hard day or a on off day, you say your probably do not but everyone does, its life and your a human... Im proud to call the Panthers my team and i will be with them til the end

What I don't understand, is why we always have to blame somebody, but never give the opponent any credit.

Just about everybody the Giants have played has had a hard time stopping their running game, including the Ravens... except for when Jacobs didn't play. Did anybody here really think this would be easy?

BTW, calling Smitty out for a stupid play, doesn't mean I've turned on him. By the same token, how can you just give him a pass? They could have easily made that a 15yd personal foul instead of just a holding penalty.

Hello, retard.

Steve Smith had ZERO CATCHES IN THE SECOND HALF!!!

He was probably only thrown to TWICE in the Second Half.

Steve Smith is your BEST PLAYER!

JAKE DELHOMME threw the ball well ALL NIGHT.

Throw the ball to Steve Smith and the run game would open up some more.

When you KNOW that it's a windy night and you need to get closer than a 50 YARD FIELD GOAL, it would be in your best interest once you get a first down past the 50 yard line near the end of regulation, LIKE THEY DID, to throw the ball to Smith at least once.

YES, RETARDS, they threw the ball to Smith once on the last drive, but that was WELL BEFORE they got pass midfield.

Once you got a first down pass midfield, you should have thrown a pass at least once to try to get as close as you could.

Forcing Kasay to kick a 50 yard field goal in those conditions gave this game away.

    • Give me Anthony Hill Jr or give me death
    • We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that
    • There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.
