Why you don't fire John Fox

It seems a lot of you are missing the point. Yes, we have a bad quarterback and a new one would definitely boost our team back to original form BUT with our current coach who is the reason for our bad QB and has done next to nothing to bring a new real prospect in to QB, why in the hell would you think he is going to get rid of a QB he has given huge amounts of money to in the form of a new contract that wasn't even viable in the 1st place? You can't have one without the other at this point. What you guys need to admit to is that Fox left us hanging with our current situation. They both have to go. I just don't trust his judgment any more.

For some reason, despite everything.. I agree with Meat.

I think John Fox should remain the Panthers coach. He annoys me to no end sometimes, but he's a good NFL HC, and he's made us respectable and I'm not sure that I'm ready to throw all that away and start over just yet.

I know we're having a down year. I know it seems like the 40 billionth time that the Panthers have failed to have a good year after a playoff appearance.. but the fact is.. they bet on Jake being able to come back into form after the Arizona game and they bet on Peppers being a dominate force. With that, they bet on limited depth in the trenches.

So they made some wrong decisions. So did the Hurricanes, but I'm not ready to throw JR out the door. And I'm not ready to throw Hurney and Fox out the door either.

Hurney, for the most part, has done an amazing job fielding some very talented teams. We've tasted victory with Fox and we've never been any worse than mediocre. I'm just not ready for him to go.

If Richardson decides to clean house after the season I'll understand why, but I'm not sure that I can be 100% behind it.

    • Predictions from the Observer writers  i am sad   I wish the Panthers had one, just one, game changing hero on their roster …one player that isnt ok with losing …there aren't any Steves,, Lukes,  Cams, Thomas’ on this roster    When  a team has a roster and there isn't one jersey that sells, there arent any heroes if there are, today is a good day to show up   From the Oberser  Fowler: Packers 30, Panthers 20. Carolina will hang around for a while for this one, but the Packers — a legitimate Super Bowl threat — have just too much firepower. Kaye: Packers 31, Panthers 20. Green Bay feels like one of the true Super Bowl contenders in the NFC. The Packers’ offense is dynamic and the defense continues to improve. With a banged up O-line and an unpredictable defense, I’m not sure it matters who is at QB for the Panthers on Sunday. The Packers should win at home in convincing fashion. Zietlow: Packers 35, Panthers 28. I predicted last week that the Bills would win in lopsided fashion. They were coming off a two-game losing streak followed by a bye. The Panthers, conversely, were due for a regression after three great weeks. This week, after refocusing, I think the Panthers will put up a strong performance. I also think Rico Dowdle will get the majority of the carries and that the defense will play much better against the run. The Packers will still win, but the Panthers will leave Lambeau with their heads held high.
