Maybe the longest pre-game ceremony ever.....2.5 hours celebrating Montreal's 100 years. Happy to have NHLN.

Its cool that the Habs have 100 years of history... really... but they can stop celebrating it whenever.. I have no idea how long this is going to continue... but it's getting ridiculous.

On a side note, it's always hilarious watching games that are in Montreal when they show them on NHLN. Their fans are just funny to me.

I'm headed to Montreal in Feb to see the Flyers play....saw printed on the tickers "Centennial Jersey Night", so at least one more celebration I guess

I agree the celebrations have been going on far too long and they must be a distraction to the players as well.

I have to admit though, the one on Friday, which I finally watched last night, was pretty impressive. Watching all those retired players hit the ice certainly brought back alot of memories!! So many of those players were the ones I was watching as a kid.

But enough of the past, it's time to start focusing on today and the future!

Interesting thing I learned though, in 100 years of history, 776 players have worn the red, white and blue. That seems to be such a small number to me!

I know this is kinda unrelated... but are you guys at all surprised that the Habs haven't been a massive failure this year? They basically told the whole team to hit the street and filled the roster with the 2009 All Free Agency team.

Not to mention, Gionta, Gomez, Cammalleri... good players but jeez it's like Oompa Loompa land out there.

I know they aren't exactly the best team in the world, but I'm really surprised they haven't completely bombed. Especially with Markov going down.

they have been surprising, yes! Losing Markov was a huge hit for sure and we did move alot of talent out this offseason. Cammalleri has been a blessing so far for sure!
