I don't like where the NFL is going.

This league is all about the money now. I don't like all the rules saving QBs and Kickers. I'm not saying they should be pounded on after they throw the ball, just hold them to the same standard as the other players. To many times I see a good 3 and out and the punter get a little freaking touch and the refs are all over it. Also it seems the refs will give the bigger franchises the benefit of the doubt. All these rule changes happen when a quarter back like Tom Brady misses a year. What happened when Carolina missed Jake for about 2 seasons?

Also now I hear next year there will be no salary cap. This devastates me. I don't want to watch the NFL turn into the MLB.

In 20 years we will see the same 4 dominate teams in two hand touch football.

I hear ya, its getting disgusting with all this QB protection, BS pass interference. It's just about air it out offense.

I could easily see not giving a sh*t about the NFL in 3yrs or so if this continues, I use to be a hardcore baseball fan & I just got fed up with all the roids & no salary cap BS.

For sure I could see just saying F*ck it to the nfl as well.

Oh yea don't get me started on pass interference calls. I'd like to see how far a team can go in the season with the QB in shotgun and having 5 WR running verticals. Just hail mary the bad boy. Don't bother punting just throw a bomb you'll be in the red zone 80% of your drives.

Don't worry about defense. Just sign (or draft) a lot of offensive players and let the refs do the rest.

    • Been here a while but rarely post and most of them are smartazz. Mostly lurk just so I can sound informed while hanging out drinking beer in my neighbors garage. Amusingly a Huddle level of knowledge kind of makes you a subject matter expert. Thanks for that.
    • That’s similar as saying MVP Cam is the same as rookie Cam because his mechanics didn’t change. We’re talking about production.
    • In 2025 Sam Darnold had over 1k more passing yards than Bryce Young on 1 less pass attempt. Repeat that to yourself several times and let it sink in. I absolutely love it when people come on here and invoke Sam Darnold like some gotcha. Darnold is the physical prototype for what anyone needs in a franchise QB. All the physical tools. Few people thought he would put it all together on the mental side of the position. He used to make some of the worst decisions you would ever see. At times in the past he made up for that with absurd throws and athleticism. But make no mistake whatsoever no matter how you feel about our starting QB. Bryce Young is a completely opposite conundrum. He lacks virtually any and all physical tools and athleticism and his elite processing is really mediocre at best on a good day and horrific on a bad day. These are realities people should have already been addressing instead of quadrupling down in year four.
