Question for "FANS"

Lol, look man, I was with you and all the other "Fire Fox" brigade just a couple weeks ago. I dont know, Fox got this team playing well right now and our defense is playing like I've dreamed. I dont know if I want Fox gone or not, im still on the fence. I just dont want Fox to go and risk losing Meeks.

This is another reason I'm concern of what happend if Fox is gone next season, despite not being fan of him coming back. If he is, we might lose Meeks & I don't want to lose him with how our defense are playing the best they has in years. If a new head coach is coming here next year (whether it's Cowher or someone else), I want him to keep Meeks & maybe Davidson. New coach usually bring his own people than keeping 1 or 2 coordinators from the previous coach and that what I'm afraid of.

Chill the f**k out, man! It sad you has to resort to this kind of behavior, 'cause you don't agree with him.

And you call him an idiot? Say the guy who want our team to lose. You know most coach can get fired with a great record. Remeber Dungy with Tampa & Marty with SD? I thought so. Again, we can hope our coach get fired but we never root for our team to lose. Thanks for being a fairweather fan with this kind of behavior you're showing toward GSO. Stay classy.

I repeat, if you no longer believe that Fox needs to go just because of two good games when it no longer matters...THEN YOU ARE A SHORTSIGHTED IDIOT.

And what if the Saints blow them out next week?

TYPICAL shortsighted answer from you, idiot.

Just a few weeks ago that Panthers were getting beat down by the Jets.

Over the course of this season, Fox has PROVEN that he needs to be gone next year.

What happens this week and last week shouldn't mean ANYTHING. The decision should have been made WEEKS ago based on the first 12 games of the season.

I like guys like you, opinionated know it all, playstation GMs. Keep preaching!

On the NFL Network tonight, the commentators there were all asking about how different our season might have been had we started Matt Moore earlier? They did this while showing today's game highlights against the Giants. Obviously, no one can answer that question, but Fox's inability or lack of desire to try different things, especially to try them at crtical times, suggests that he might not be the one who can take this team to the next level, certainly not anymore. I don't know if the fact that we have nothing to play for has unleashed an attitude that has resulted in the recent success the team has enjoyed, but it's the coaches responsibility to set the tone for them. If thatcan only happen when it's too late, it's time for a change at the top.

Period!!

There's really no need to call people idiots for stating their opinion. They have just as much right to an opinion as you do.

In fact, I agree that Fox should stay. And you can't call me shortsighted because I have never really been on the FOX MUST GO side of the fence. If he did go, I wouldn't be extremely upset by any means, but I think he is a good coach.

Should he have put Moore in earlier in the season? Definitely. He made a huge mistake there, but despite Delhomme throwing our season away, we are still 7-8. Next year, with Fox as the coach and Moore at QB, we might have a really good season.

Speaking of short sighted, maybe your the one that is shortsighted and has forgot what John Fox has done for this Franchise as a coach as a whole body of work. Not too shabby if you ask me. There is a reason that he is considered a top 10 coach around the league.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
