I get that, but not a lot of UFA top RHDs out there, unless you want to give Eckblad $9-10M. Matter of fact, Eckblad may be the only top line D-man who's unrestricted. Better look for a trade somewhere. -
But tbh, even if we took Ace, he would force his way out or be injured all the time or immediately leave when his contract was up after half-assing here then go on to be an all-star elsewhere. I see all these people now saying we need to trade LaMelo, but we’ve seen this movie before. He can’t stay healthy - then we trade him and he lives up to all of his potential while we poo the bed with whatever assets we got back for him and end up with nothing. It’s the Hornets and Panthers way. -
