cody in the second round would be good value for your team.i think parcells would get the most out of him.

Last time I checked he wasn't the Coach. Yeah he makes a lot of decisions but I doubt he is down there coaching individual players on a regular basis.

If Daryl Washington is there don't be surprised to see us get him. I could see TD not being here next season (whether by trade, RFA signing, or we just let him walk). I don't see us giving him the contract he will want (cough-Weatherspoon-cough)

i know he is not the coach but just his presence in mia is known. plus im pretty sure he talks to the players and if he brings in cody he would expect nothing but the best out of him. washington is a monster, and has the speed to play outside.plus there coach is a firey guy.

i seen on a website think it was on prosportsdaily.com that we are going to be hurting defenceivly cause tomas davis and richard marshell are becoming RFA which will have compinsation on tomas - 1st and 3rd pick and for richard marshell the same either way we may have a 1st round

WLB in Meeks system are one of the easiest positions to sub players in. I mean even Anderson looked good there. If we could get a 1st and 3rd for him I would take it in a heartbeat. Washington would be a beast there and he should be around early 2nd. He also could provide depth at MLB.

Trade a WLB in a WLB friendly system for a 1st and 3rd that you turn into a 1st round receiver and maybe a SLB/DT then get Washington with your 2nd. I could see this happening. In fact out of all the trade scenario's this one would hurt the team the least.

Marshall would never fetch a 1st you might as well forget that.

sounds possible, but what team would we be able to trade with? possibly the patriots

  • 4 weeks later...

i love mcclain for the phins @12......hate cody with the 2nd round pick. that fat fug isnt worth poo. he will be on the field for 2 plays......if hes not exhausted. and someone like bj rajij outperformed him in college. i would hate if the phins drafted him

speaking of Terrence "Mount" Cody, I went to an autograph signing with him there. looked to me like he may be down to 340 or so.

    • You're assuming just as well.   Morgan and Canales were hired 3 days apart.  I believe it was partially due to their connections in Seattle.  i believe Tepper wanted some familiarity with his GM and HC.  It is so easy to sit back and arm-chair QB over draft picks.  You don't know what the philosophy was going into the 2024 draft.  I believe Canales and Morgan were drafting for the future.  XL and Brooks point to that philosophy. Name me one GM that is 100% on draft picks.  Just one.  You're not going to find one.    I think year one picks weren't for what can you do for me now but Potential.   XL hasn't lived up to the hype of a 1st rounder.  I think we all can agree on that. However, there still is hope he comes around.  What I believe they saw in him was his speed after the catch.  He needs to get more consistent but when he gets the ball you kind of hold your breath just a second because if he gets free, he's gone.  The Brooks pick was a signing for the future, and no one could have guessed he would re-injure the same ACL.  This makes the pick look bad but Dallas was ready to draft him later that same round.  IMO we'll have to see what happens next season before we can call this a bust. Wallace has improved each season and for a third rounder has done well.  Sanders has shown flashes and considering the pick in the 4th round it wasn't a bad pick.  His sophomore season IMO was a little bit more productive.  Smith-Wade has been a good addition and has played well.  For a 5th round pick to get as much playing time as he has.  Most picks below round 3 should take a couple of years to get up to speed.  He's been a decent player.  Crumedy, no comment We turned Barrett into Jackson.  This was an amazing move and basically got a starting CB for a 7th round pick.  Pretty shrewd if you ask me. Coker, maybe the best Free Agent signing of the 2024 draft class. So, in short, you can't say that the draft was a bust.  It isn't a home run but all but one are still on the team and outside of Brooks have made contributions to wins.  2025 draft class has been much better with almost every pick making contributions this season.  Now take Fitterer's two years and compare them to Morgan and tell me that they have the same philosophy.
    • He hasn’t led crap, he’s on loaded teams and a piece of the puzzle. And he’s he has improved drastically but it took the ultimate QB whispers in Shanahan and KOC. You put him on this Panther team and he’s back to normal Darnold
    • Slavin and Jarvis week to week. Florida cheap shots took out our two best players.  I’d start KK so he can beat the brakes off someone.
