PG - Felton --- Billups

Billups was a much better defender with a better 3Ball

SG - Jack --- Rip

Rip was mainly catch and shoot, Jack can score off the dribble too..

SF - Wallace --- Prince

Prince was slightly the better defender but Wallace's scoring ability is much better

PF - Diaw --- Sheed

Sheed was obviously the better defender and was more consistent with his 3Ball

C - Nazr --- Big Ben

Nazr is obviously the better scorer, but Big Ben held down the paint like no one else..

Bench:

DJ, Flip, Chandler, Brown.........Hunter, Okur, McDyess -

our bench gives us much more scoring but less defense..

thoughts?

That is a very fair analysis but I would say that Billups and Sheed were exponentially better than Felton and Diaw are now. Also I think the East is a lot tougher now than it was back then and I don't think that those Pistons could win the conference this year. Their biggest competition were the Jason Kidd led Nets and the Reggie Miller and Jermaine O'Neal led Pacers in 2004. This year I think they would struggle to beat the Cavs, Magic, Hawks and maybe the Celtics.

But I do agree with you that the Bobcats are built in the same mold as those Pistons but I don't think that is championship material these days.
