Yeah, if his agent is worth a damn we're overpaying him a little, he has more value to us than any other team in the league. I'm fine with that as long as we don't overpay a lot! FWIW... his last contract was 2 year, $8M with $5M guaranteed and he just turned 30. Now that he's our by-default starting LT, he deserves a little better than that. I'd give him $6-7M per year. -
Not sure there is a ton of support for Nijman starting at LOT. I hope. I don’t know about picking top 5 off just that but it wouldn’t be anywhere close to ideal and would be an issue in most matchups. -
The question goes back to where they declined to pick up the 5th year. That wasn’t really a decision made because it was cost prohibitive, was it? They haven’t been real stable organizationally, for a while. But it just seems like that would have been a formality if they were happy with him. So my question would be, why did they decline?
