Game 59: Bobcats@Celtics

The most important thing the Bobcats need to do right now is win basketball games. Not change their name, not worry about their new owner, not worry about the local media who constantly backhands them. JUST WIN! And everything else will take care of itself. They can start tonight in the city of Boston when they face the Celtics. The Cs are a team that has flat out dominated us the past couple of years and they gave us our most embarassing loss of the year in Game 1. They are led by all-star PG Rajon Rondo and the Big 3 of Garnett, Pierce, & Allen. If we are gonna have any chance tonight we have to shoot a high percentage. We need to keep the game close and try to run on the Celtics old legs. Rondo is a guy that can go out there and get 16 assists in a game, so Ray & DJ need to defend well and play well themselves. If we can get a better effort than we did Monday night and minimize our TO's we have a shot. This would be a HUGE road win if we pull it off. GO BOBCATS!!!

ive always hated the celtics and all boston sports. Their journlist are arrogant douche bags...and so are their fans. I hope we run them out of the building. Is it likely, eh we'll see. BOOM BOOM CLAP, LETS GO CATS!!!!! GO BOBCATS!!

This is so true! If the Bobcats can start stringing together some wins and improve on their atrocious road record all this talk about name changes will disappear fast.

What's keeping the city of Charlotte from truly getting behind the 'Cats isn't the name, it's winning! Charlotte is a fair-weather sports city. As soon as the 'Cats can make some noise by making the playoffs the fans will come, people will forget about the name, and Jordan will be a hero for helping to put together a playoff team and making sure the team is safe here in Charlotte.

The 'Cats can start tonight by beating the Celtics. If you look at the schedule the Heat, Bulls, and to a lesser extent Bucks are moving into tougher parts of their schedules. This is the time to step up, win games, and prove you belong in the playoff picture!

This is one of the NBA games where you'll see one team not show up tonight. Thankfully for us, the Boston Celtics will fall over pretty quickly if we show a heartbeat tonight. WHY?

-This is the last match up between the teams in the regular season. The only thing that hurts my reasoning is that its a home game for the Celtics. But to be honest the Celtics would love to see us in the first round. No other team has smack us around more then them this season.

-This is a back to back game for the Celtics. Although their 2-4 for the month, after us, they have 4 out of 5 games that are locks to win.

-Hopefully this wont turn into a high 80s score. If the Bobcats shoot well, 100 points should be the golden number.

So now that everything I said is wrong - BOOM BOOM CLAP...

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
