Recommended Posts

Our season starts this weekend when we travel to Charleston SC to play the Carolina commanders. The Cobras and every other team in the National Public safety Football League www.npsfl.com are comprised of police, fire and medic personel. Our season runs thru June and we will have three home games. Check out our site at www.charlottecobrasfootball.org. All the money raised goes to local charities. Check it out its a good football fix when there isnt any around this time of year. Schedue and team info is on the site plus we have a facebook page. just search charlotte cobras.

how did yall finish last season? Thought you were crushing it.

We made it to the Division II Championship game in Bakersfield California only to kick our own butts with turnovers. It was a two point loss. Totally our fault. We had more offense and they didn't score the second half. Bad Game. We will be competing for the Division I Championship this year. We are ready.

Yeah that was a tough one. I was there. Good luck MCC and remember if you play in Cali again, let me know so we can make it.

Your team was strong and talented but maybe it was our lack of tress resulting in a lack of available oxygen that did you guys in. :D That or the fact that it was about110 deg. out here,

If you haven't checked it out, it's really not bad football. There is more poo talking going on that at a street rules basketball game. AND....there is not threat of a lockout in 2011.

Haha! What a trip. The heat definately whooped our ass. The baron wasteland didnt help either. If we come back that way we will damn sure get up for beers again.

    • One thing about it, he's not thinking about retiring. I found it odd that some Huddlers were taking rumors and running with them, imagining a slow down and "up-playing" injuries. Moton feels great and is still in his prime according to him, and his game is still indicative of his thoughts.  Sure, it may ultimately come down to economics, but I am sure that everyone involved is motivated to keep him in Charlotte.
    • I think the knee stuff with Moton has been blown way out of proportion. The exact quote was “It’s chronic stuff. Most linemen deal with it. But it’s just figuring out what we can do to make sure it’s limited and I’m still able to explode off it, which right now I can and I feel like I can in the future,” After a while, you start learning more about it and what can we do to make sure it’s as little of an issue as possible. I feel like I’m moving like I was when I was younger.” I don't view that as a guy who's saying his knees are on their last leg I see that as a 10-year NFL olineman saying that obviously after 10 years of playing a really physical sport, he's never truly gonna be 100% healthy again and he's gonna need to spend more time with the training staff to ensure his body can continue to perform at a high level. I think Moton has another 3 to 5 years left if he wants to continue playing.
    • So much crying. Tiresome. All of you should have had enough time to come to terms with the team picking up his 5th year...
