hard to say really...still gets a pooload of viewers now and it seems every season the number of people calling in to vote grows and grows.

That is a good point.....it is a monster of a show. Even if it loses a bunch of viewers it will still be pulling in extremely high ratings compared to other shows. It will probably go on until the people who run it don't feel like doing it anymore, not because it isn't getting ratings.

I think I saw the same duet! He kept holding his arms awkward, shaking, and just looked strange. And I thought the exact same thing.

It's his MO. SNL even had a great skit from John Belushi imitating him doing that during his performance on SNL in the mid-70s. Fun stuff.

Not sure how old I was either but I was born in 73 and it couldn't have been too long after that. Weird that we both remember it so vividly.
