You could begin to see it with Iowa... They started leaning towards being commercial... While I still say it was their best album, there were a lot of elements that catered to the MTV and emo crowds... That is why they lost me with that Vol. 3 garbage...

I have to give them respect though, because they were almost a transitional band for me, from stuff like Korn and the grunge era to full blown hardcore metal/metalcore/deathcore that I listen to now... They weren't the main band that had that impact, as Sepultura and Pantera were too, but Slipknot had a little influence... Even some of the stuff on Iowa has some death metal influence at times... But you won't really find that since...

Doubt it, I'm 27 years old, married with a kid. I still like Slipknot, It sounds cheesy but they got me through some really tough times in my life. So I'm always going to be a fan.
