How bout that we don't have a fifth round pick?

No way I'd have given up a fourth. And if our best offer was a sixth, they had a better offer.

For the record, teams didn't "pass" on Jon Beason. They took another player they felt was better suited to their needs. Pretty sure the only linebacker taken ahead of him was Patrick Willis.

And I'd dispute that every team "needs" a guy with domestic violence issues :nonod:

Jason Kidd had domestic violence issues I guess that makes him not 1 of the top Point guards all time right. Some of you people need too get out of people personal lives. Who made you the moral autority or god?

Getting in a fight with a teammate is a far cry from domestic violence.

you cant call what he did a fight. that would mean the other guys had opportunity to defend themselves and not get sucker punched and sent the hospital or have reconstructive surgery to put there face back together. we are glad it was teammates or smitty would be in jail by now.

we have a short memory for our favorite player on this team. we are the LAST team to talk about chararacter issues on any player!

I don't see the diffrence in fighting a women or sucker puching a person who has his back turn too you or some one who is on their knees. Both are coward moves. Then again you don't know what was going on in that realtionship so again who the fug are you too judge.

When Smith punched Lucas, the end result was that the team rallied around both him and Lucas and the players were determined not to let it tear them apart. The result was a 12-4 season.

Show me where someone beating their poor wife senseless has ever been a rallying point for a team.

I guess you have a bad memory or you don't pay much attention. We did have this guy named Captain Munnerlyn last year.

He was a 7th round pick and if you expect that too be the norm then your a idiot. But he still didn't have 79 cacthes 1200 yards and 10 td. Name me a 5th rounder that gives you that?

    • I don't necessarily think he will be moved, I would currently be leaning against that notion. I think a lot will depend on the coaching situation. Carroll certainly can't be thinking about wanting to go through a serious strip down and overhaul, so the longer he plans to remain, the less likely I think Crosby gets moved.
    • I think everyone says Mike Evans because of size, but really they have different strengths and play styles.  Tmac is better on intermediate routes and not nearly as good at contested catches.
    • At this point, it is criminal to go into the 2026 training camp/OTA's with XL penciled in as a #2 WR. The team must upgrade, either through free agency or the draft. If he cannot give 100% effort on significantly less snaps as a #4-6 WR(players like Tremayne have done that consistently) then I don't think you have a player worth rostering beyond the trade deadline. Offensively, we eventually have to upgrade to an NFL starting caliber C. It's been almost the length of time from Gross to Ikey since Kalil retired and we have below average to terrible C play. Love Mays as a BC-esque utility backup but he will never be an above average long term starting C.  The TE room is one of the worst in the NFL but it's a low usage position in this offense, so the investments are likely to be small, if any. I would never expect to see an elite TE in a Dave Canales offense. 100% agree on OL depth. We actually aren't bad there but BC will be gone, Mays is a UFA, Corbett is a UFA and Zavala has been both injured and bad. We have to bolster that depth again or resign guys like Mays and Corbett to keep that depth somewhat stable.
