The Dark side got ahold of this one... lol...

So... he goes to shows and takes the fans money, but the guy tries to ask him some questions about how the role affected his life and he acts like an asshole.. nice.

Just so I chime in here... PM sucked ass, hated it completely from day 1. ATC was about a 3 out of 10 and ROTS was the best prequel, but compared to the originals it sucked too. The only "good" part of ROTS was the Darth Vader stuff at the end.

I admit it wasn't great, but it was the best of the prequels in my opinion, and nothing Star Wars will ever be terrible!

Ewok? Ewok 2? Star Wars Christmas special? Greedo Shooting first?

Lucas has bastardized and watered down the whole series from the minute ESB came out. It's been totally downhill from there. And yes, the new poo is terrible. The only reason ANYONE over the age of 12 even watches it is because it has "Star Wars" attached to the top of it.

Nostalgia is a biatch.

meh... All those examples were cool in their own right...

Tell kids today, who's first experiences with Star Wars is the prequel trilogy, that they sucked... I see them as more of a platform for today's kids to progress into the original trilogy... Which if it works, and they enjoy it, it is a success... Commercially and from a story telling perspective...

you can justify it however you want to. regardless of their perceived function they were abject failures in storytelling, acting and filmmaking. Like I said, if they didn't have "Star Wars" tacked to the front end, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

^this^

One hundred times...

Anyone who says that the anything after the first one was great is simply full of poo. Lucas' writing when it came to dialog was never any good. Mark Hamil was a whining little bitch from day one and fuging HORRIBLE to boot. Carrie Fisher was only marginally better and I attribute that to her drug use.

Once you get over the fact that it represented a evolutionary step forward for modern science fiction in the cinema and judge it by the standards of plot, acting, and cinematography then it just doesn't hold up.

And BTW...I love all of them in spite of the fact that the Fast and Furious series is better

*highfive*

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
