Agreed, but those people are in the limited minority. Most kids now foot a portion or all of their college. I did (all of it). I have a brother that's in the poor house now partially because I had a niece that refused to take out loans and goofed off her first two years and compounded it by going full time summers her last two years to "catch up".

I think kids should pay at least a portion of their college. It gives them some ownership of their education.
