World Cup is here

I'm out of my depressive funk now.

We need to fix the center of our defense, Ghana exploited that twice and scored, Algeria hit the bar, Slovenia scored, and England scored. Four of the six we conceded came from that area.

Bradley should be complimented though, he got a lot out of those players but the decision to start Clark over an in form Edu was a head scratcher, I'm sure he's kicking himself over it. At least he admitted his mistake though....

Unlike Capello who's refusal to change anything saw his team implode today. I know they lost a good goal due to a bad decision but they were completely outclassed today. In need of a goal Capello manages to leave Crouch, who has a good goal scoring record for England, and works superbly well with Defoe for Tottenham, on the bench. He hates Crouch personally, he tried his damnedest not to pick him when he first got the job and now he keeps putting the screws to him. Crouch should go to the FA and say it's him or Capello.

Two English speaking teams officially finished the World Cup unbeaten. New Zealand (Played 3, Drew 3), and the US (Played 4, Won 1, Drew 3).

No excuses. Capello picked the wrong squad and the wrong team and our shortcomings (lack of width, pace and creativity) were exploited by a thoroughly average Germany side.

That's the World Cup over for me. Can't stand any of the teams left in it.

Nobody on our frontline could finish at all. Findley, Altidore, Buddle and Gomez all got great opportunities to score and just couldn't do anything other than make the keeper put his gloves up.

And yes, Clark was horrid and directly responsible for two goals.

    • See that's the thing what I saw in game 2 was so embarrassing id rather they could just forfeit
    • Are you arguing that his height deficiencies and footwork within the pocket have not been a present issue clearly seen on his game tape particularly in the games he struggled in? Because that's simply denying what everyone in this fanbase who have watched the games have seen. It's interesting how hardline BY fans here quickly and effortlessly pivot from whailing about being victimized to becoming the aggressor and hurling out allegations of bias and hatred. And at the end of the day while Bryce Young clearly improved significantly from the first two games of the season the reality of the situation is he still finished 42nd in yards per pass attempt behind Mac Jones and tied with Caleb Williams and 38th in passing yards per game behind the likes of Gardner Minshew Aidan O'Connell Drake Maye and Will Levis. Furthermore it took Bryce Young 23 games to surpass Panthers legend Kyle Allen's 13 games worth of passing yardage in 2019. So if your argument is he became a head and shoulders better passer over the course of the second half of the season the reality is we're still waiting to see that growth this season. And there is nothing controversial or vitriolic about saying so from the mind of a rational observer.
    • Cam regularly threw for less than 200 yards and nobody questioned he was elite. He averaged 219 yds per game for his career.  You seem to be way too hung up on yards as a stat.  By that definition Jameis Winston should have been MVP by now.
