How good does the Dline have to be?

they aren't a top duo. Marshall is a nickel corner. I would not be surprised if Captain took his job at some point this year. Well, I take that back....wiht Fox you never know. Also, we have no clue who 2 of the 3 starters at LB will be right now.

I don't think Gamble is a leader. That is getting into Peppers territorty where you expect players to be something they aren't. Gamble is going to play corner and do a decent job. You can't ask him to lead. He would have done it by now if he was that type player.

Bull poo. Gamble and Marshall is a hell of a cornerback duo and that's not homerism, that's accepted fact. They are at least one of the top ten duos in the league. If they weren't at least very solid then please tell me how our pass defense was so good last year? Was it our amazing play at safety? No. Was it our unstoppable pass rush led by the always-consistent Peppers? No, our pass rush mainly sucked. It was because Gamble, Marshall and also Munnerlyn were doing a hell of a job, and because Meeks coached the piss out of the defense.

As for the LB's, I don't think it really matters that we don't know who is going to start yet. The coaches are going to put whatever combination of three on the field that is best. Beason is a given, but Connor and especially Anderson have proven that they can make plays, Williams looks like he could be a stud and Norwood has a lot of potential as well. LB will be absolutely fine.

Unfortunately I tend to agree with you about Gamble not being much of a leader.
