Thomas Davis in Daytona?

I don't really keep up with Nascar and most the guys I can't stand, but I turned my TV on and flipped on ESPN as the race was ending. I do 'pull' for Dale Jr., if that's possible without knowing much that goes on week to week in the sport...

But anyway, as the race was ending they mentioned how it was a great storyline b/c Dale Jr. brought back his dad's original color scheme car with the #3 and won the race... So it did hold my attention for some reason. While in pit lane, they interviewed him and Richard Childress, and while Childress was walking away ending his interview, Thomas Davis was standing behind him in a green shirt with what appeared to be Dale's race team.

I'm almost 100% sure it was him unless he has a twin somewhere. I was kind of shocked b/c I didn't think he would be out and about already that soon after the surgery. Although I could see how they could be friends with both being big guys in and around Charlotte.

If any of you actual fans DVR'd it, please check...

It was CJ Spiller, actually. He has a personal services deal with Subway, they sponsored the race.

Wow, thanks for pointing that out... I thought it looked a lot like TD, but I wasn't sure. Never really noticed how much he and Spiller look alike. Thanks Bobby.

my dad was on crutches for a month or two after his ACL replacement. It's like it never even happened now, though (a year later)

Maybe we should sign your Dad then....I think Davis' injury is going to be longterm, Unless he takes this entire season off and doesn't rush back.It might be silly to invest no term in him reguardless of his talent

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
