Barnidge the Panthers second best receiver?

Yeah I think you can definitely argue that. He wasn't targeted too many times this past season, but when he had chances he made plays. I'm really excited to see him get more involved.

Football Outsiders calls tight end Gary Barnidge the Panthers' second-best receiver.

Barnidge, a fifth-round pick in 2008, clearly has significant talent as a pass-catcher. But the Panthers have been very hesitant to use him and he had just 12 catches a year ago. Barnidge remains on the Dynasty radar as a stash candidate in case the Panthers start utilizing his skills.

It certianly doesnt say much for our WR corp when you backup TE is your 2nd best WR.The panthers need to wake up and sign a proven WR

I'd say Dallas Clark, Antonio Gates and Jason Witten could all argue as the 2nd best receivers on their respective teams. And all those teams pass much more than we do. Considering we're one of the most running-oriented teams in the league, I'm not too worried about it. We just need to get Barnidge in the game more.
