the madden demo just came out a little bit ago

i kind of have high hopes for this one

It's actually really solid....Gus Johnson really makes listening to the commentary enjoyable again. I was very critical of gameflow when I first read about it but it actually works really well. Locomotion just like in NCAA works really well, the animations are pretty fluid, Jericho Cotchery made a very nice corner of the endzone catch for me where he got two feet down just inside the white as he was falling out of the endzone. Running seems a little difficult being that I'm using the Jets but it could just be I'm used to the quicker speed of NCAA now. Oh and last but not least....the Jets D is just downright nasty.....

game flow sucks.....i hate that it automatically picks a play for me. ncaa gives you a few choices. other than that......its alright. not worth 60$

ill get it used at gamestop. im done given EA my money.

You can still audible when you use gameflow, it's designed to play like a real game of football where the play calls are on the coaches, it accomplishes that and the plays called seem to be realistic to the two teams in the demo. I probably wont use it when I'm playing online but it certainly will give me a challenge when doing my franchise with the Panthers....

Just had an awesome thing happen in the game. Playing as the Jets, Colts get the ball first and on the first snap they try a deep post route to Wayne. Leonard lights his ass up and knocks Wayne out of the game. So I'm thinking ok well maybe I should just restart this game because it's going to be an easy win without Wayne, that's when Peyton Manning goes all Peyton Manning on me. He just dissected my defense there wasn't a thing I could do. I tried rushing 3 and dropping back 8 no help, rushing 7 and leaving 4 in coverage trying to overload the box, Manning just dumps it off to Addai. I think he completed passes to 10 different receivers on his was to a 27-31 300 plus yards and 4 td day while Rex looked on in disgust......

The worst part was for the first time in the five or six games I have played my offense was MIA, I couldn't complete a pass to save my life and the lanes just weren't opening up in the running game. There was a time in my gaming life when I would have gotten frustrated possibly thrown a controller and cussed the game but I welcome CPU Peyton lighting me up, it was certainly a pleasant site to see that when the Colts biggest weapon went down Peyton just spread the ball around to everyone.....

    • TBH, these are the kind of players that get weeded out of professional sports pretty quickly. Also, CMC is not that guy. There is zero indication that he isn't competitive.
    • I like the free agency. It actually helps basically all schools across the board. Pretty much only ancient HC's and/or HC's that haven't been able to adjust have been complaining about the free agency. Your fortunes can be made or broken every offseason. It's not like before where a bad recruiting class or two meant multiyear purgatory.  I will never understand all the bellyaching about the NIL. If you want to talk about what ruined college athletics, it has been naked greed. Conference expansions for TV revenue, ever skyrocketing AD and facilities costs and now the attempts to permanently ruin the postseasons(football and basketball).  All the kids did was get a very well deserved piece of a very, very, VERY broken pie.
    • Nobody is saying they don't count against the cap, because yes, they technically do count against the cap as it's money the team is paying and it needs to be accounted for. But what you're not grasping it seems is that if a player gets $10 million guaranteed in their contract, whether they get literally $0 as a signing bonus or $8 million as a signing bonus, it doesn't change the overall cap hit of the contract, because cap hits are about the guaranteed money, not how much is paid up front. The only thing that how much is paid up front changes, is how the cap hit can be spread out amongst the years. So yes, technically there could end up being a slightly bigger cap hit in year 3 and 4 due to a bigger signing bonus, but if that is the case, it also means there will be a lesser cap hit in years 1 and 2 than there would have been with a smaller bonus.  But over the length of the contract, the size of the signing bonus has literally zero affect on the overall cap hit of the contract, because THAT part of it is 100% about the guaranteed money and nothing else.
