I DON'T WANT Julius Peppers to be a Panther next year....

The only reason the Steelers, Eagles, and Patriots could plug in other players to get the job done is because of the coaching. Each of those teams have better coaches than the Panthers do. I would still rather have more good players for less money.

I've got one question for those wanting to dump Peppers. Where does our pass rush come from next year without him? He led this team in sacks and QB hurries while seeing double teams very often. Can you imagine how few sacks Johnson or Brayton get if they're the ones double teamed?

the constant double teaming of Peppers is one of the largest Carolina Panther myths I have ever come across.... He is "occasionally" double teamed but not to the extent that people believe.

If you watch the games he's chipped by a TE or RB very often. Double team doesn't have to mean 2 offensive lineman doing it (although he saw a fair amount of that as well).

Also, what's your answer to my question?

For me, its not a matter if I want him or not. However, I am against anyone, that doesnt want to play here. The way I look at it, is the same way I run my business. If I have an employee that doesnt want to be there, then I send them home. If they have enough of those days that they dont want to be there, than I fire them. They only cause trouble and negativity to the other employees. Before you know, you have a staff full of mediocre employees which usually equals to bad business.

You're insane. Peppers IS constantly double teamed. Not every goddamn play but he is constantly getting chipped by running backs and straight up double teamed with a tight end. There are times when he is one on one, but hardly ever in sure passing situations.

About where the pass rush is going to come from? Well it will be a pass rush by committee until we retool the entire D-line.... Although the D-line will suffer initially, we need to gut it and start over.... This team use to pride itself on having one of the finest front 4's in the NFL, that simply is not the case.... Time to start over and develop what we have (Johnson, Taylor)

I need your glass tube next time when watching a game.... are they tinted light blue with a shade of black? Sam Baker who is a rookie for ATL handled Peppers single handed in the Falcons game.... The guy got a lot of sacks but he is not as All World as some make him out to be

Most of the time, job dissatisfaction can be traced by management. So if you have people wanting to leave an organization perhaps it's time to look at that organization as having the problem.

same place it came from this year, nowhere. I think Pep would sign tomorrow if Turdo was gone today. He's a DE, he doesnt want to drop back in coverage nor should he. nobody on the D is buying turdos scheme anymore...

how you drop your BEST d-lineman in coverage on 3rd down situations is beyond me....

True in most cases, but sometimes people "work" just to make a living and do not enjoy what they do. Sometimes you have people, who just simply aren't happy people, and are miserable at whatever they do. The fact that Peppers has been known to just disappear, seems to be reclusive, avoids leadership, lends me to believe he fits the latter. Someone with incredible athletic ability, that just doesnt have drive, or isn't a very happy person.

    • Just another 1st round QB that never paid off for the team that drafted them or traded for them. It's been like this since the SB began. 36 QBs have now won the SB & only 13 of them have been 1st rounders winning with their original team. Namath 1968, Griese 1972, Bradshaw 1974, McMahon 1985, Simms 1986, Aikman 1992, Elway 1997, Roethlisberger 2005, P.Manning 2006, E.Manning 2007, Rodgers 2010, Flacco 2012, & Mahomes 2019. Only 3 have taken longer than 5 seasons as the starter to win a SB.  4  6  5  4  6  4  15  2  9  4  3  5  2 [the years it takes for these 1st round QBs] 5  1  4  1  3  1  1  2  3  4  [10 of the 36 have won a chip with their 1st team that haven't been drafted in the 1st round. These are the years it took them as a starter] What stands out? Only 2 of these QBs have lost their first championship appearance. Elway took 4 years as a 1st rounder & Hurts took 2 years as a 2nd rounder. Of the 10 non-1st round QBs, 2 are 2nd rounders, 3 are 3rd rounders, 5 are 6th rounders or later. Please stop wasting time on drafting 1st round QBs with such a high failure rate. The remaining 13 QBs are traded or free agent signings. Stafford, Favre, Young, Williams and Dawson are the 5 trades. Peyton Manning & Tom Brady also won for teams as free agents on a short stay as well as being drafted. The lesson here is don't waste your franchise on farming up 1st rounders for the league, and steer clear of trading for a franchise QB. Stick to finding that championship QB by drafting them outside of the 1st round or through free agency.
    • I lost most of the respect I had for Fox in 2010. He should have resigned if he hated the job that much. Instead he stuck for his paycheck and let stuff go to hell.    I burned out on Ron too but my deal breaker issue with him was away from football and after he was gone from the Panthers. He may have been out of his depth but never quit on us.
    • From where they were one year ago to now, pretty incredible. I mean, say what you want about Vrabel he is no Jerrod Mayo.
