All teams schedule their preseason games. Like Joat said, Richardson and Rooney are good friends and have scheduled the last game of preseason against each other every year.

They may request it but the teams do not schedule their own games. Pre-season games are always logistically done so that no team is traveling very far. So within a certain radius, we only have a handful of teams to play because other NFC South teams are excluded.
